COOK Arthur Gunner Royal Navy Born Trimdon Durham 1895. Son of John and Jane Ann Residence 32 Cemetery Road Beeston Hill. Arthur trained at the Royal Naval Training Establishment Shotley Near Ipswich in 1911. Brother of John Remembered below.

COOK John Private (Lance Corporal) 16696 York and Lancaster Regiment Died of Wounds 30/09/1918 Aged 25. Born Trimdon Durham. Son of John and Jane Ann Residence 32 Cemetery Road Beeston Hill Occupation Grocer Assistant. Landed France 27/08/1915. Laid to Rest Dranoutre Military Cemetery Belgium.

DENNIS Walter Private 2618 18th Hussars KIA 16/05/1915 Aged 24. Born Son of John William and Lucy Kitson. CWGC 38 Tilbury Mount Elland Road Holbeck. 1911, 18th Hussars based at Aliwal Military Barracks Aliwal Barracks South Tidworth Hampshire

Landed Le Harve 05/01/1917. Discharged 07/07/1919 Residence 14 Fewstone Street Beeston Hill. Husband of Dorothy Stead Father Walter Married Beeston Hill Wesleyan Church 05/04/1920. Survived the War.

GOODMAN Alfred Telegraphist Royal Navy. Born Leeds 1897. Son of Alfred and Sarah. 1911 34 Recretion Place Elland Road Holbeck.  Survived the war. Brother of Harry Below.

GOODMAN Harry Driver M/35079 612th Military Transport Company Royal Army Medical Corps Died 10/05/1920 Aged 26. Born Leeds 1894. Son of Alfred and Sarah Shires Married St Thomas Leeds Leylands 1881. 1911 34 Recreation Place Elland Road Holbeck Occupation Umbrella Maker. Laid to Rest Sedgley All Saints Churchyard East Extension Staffordshire.

GUY Harold Neasdon Private Royal Army Medical Corps.  Born Hunslet 1896. Son of Stephen and Clara. Husband of Mary Ragan Married Holbeck 1920. There was a Guy family living in Barton Mount Beeston Hill Holbeck in 1901.  Harold N Guy 40897 served in Royal Dublin Fusiliers.

HAINSWORTH Arthur Private 2nd North Lancashire Regiment. Born Pudsey 1884 Residence 22 Buckton Street Beeston Hill. Husband of Mary Ellen Taylor Married Rochdale 1906. Survived the War.

HAIST John Corporal (Sergeant) 15/412 15th Bn West Yorkshire Regiment Leeds Pals DOW 03/05/1917 Aged 27. Born Hunslet 1890. Son of James and Annie Plowman Married 14/02/1888 Hunslet Baptist Chapel. Trained Colsterdale Landed Egypt 22/12/1915. Would have fought in the Somme offensive 01/07/1916. Residence 59 Rydall Place Holbeck.

Landed Le Harve 14/04/1915. Discharged 27/04/1919. Husband of Dorothy Irene Miller Married Hunslet 1922. Died June 1978 Wakefield.
