Landed France 30/09/1914 Second Lieutenant in the 1st Bn West Yorkshire Regiment. 1911 at 1 Spingfield Mount. In 1920 medals were sent to Dodgson Square 138 Otley Road. He left just over 7.000 in his will.

CWGC States that Edgar was a Corporal in the Yorkshire Hussars 2226  before transferring into the Infantry. Landed France 22/02/1915. reported in July 1916 that he had been wounded in the leg by shrapnel. Laid to Rest Brookwood Military Cemetery England.
