Below can be found details of Leeds men who gave their lives serving for those countrys in the British Commonwealth that joined the war in 1914. Many men had emigrated either before or during the war. Many came home at the outbreak of war in 1914 others stayed in their adopted country and joined a local Regiment. In Australia's case they offered men a sum of money and a plot of land as soon as they arrived into the country as long as they enlisted to go to war.
A special Thank You and acknowledgment goes to the National Archives of Australia for free access to men's service records and links to Red Cross statements. If this times out go new Search Leeds in Keywords Box and Dates from 1914 To 1920
